Cozy little sushi spot that’s family-owned and run by a lovely mother-daughter duo. The place is small but has a warm, welcoming vibe. They offer daily specials during the week, which is a nice touch. I tried both the Tuna Love and Salmon Love combos—wouldn’t recommend the tuna, but the salmon was absolutely amazing and worth coming back for. The gyoza tasted like they were cooked from frozen, not house-made, which was a bit of a letdown. Overall, I’d definitely return just for that Salmon Love combo. Great little hidden gem if you’re in the mood for quality salmon sushi!

I adore sushi and the fact that I can eat most of it even with the Ménière’s, I adore it even more! I have my favorite place, although today… my favorite place was outranked by On Rice, a cozy family owned Korean & Japanese place in downtown Ottawa. Not only was the quality and price worth it but we also received a surprise “on the house ” note accompanied with 4 delicious spring rolls. The sushi was so good we completely missed taking pictures. It was amazing and the spicy tuna was the most delicious I have ever had! Finally a true “spicy” tuna Thank you On Rice for the treat! We will definitely be back soon.

In Ottawa on a work trip and this place was right around the corner. Popped for lunch with my colleague. She had the yam tempura roll and I had the Beef Bulgogi Bibimbap. Both were made fresh and with love - this place easily exceeded our expectations!! Fresh and delicious, best Kimchi I have had! Excellent!! I wish I could say we will back but sadly we will be heading home tomorrow :(

Amazing sushi quality and service. I ordered the Special Tray and Maki Tray for four people, and everything was perfect. The rolls were well made, the fish was fresh, and the portions were very good for the price. The sashimi pieces were some of the thickest I’ve ever seen! The service was also great and the staff were kind. They even gave us spring rolls on the house! I highly recommend On Rice. This was a great experience and I will definitely be back for another meal.

Really great hole in the wall sushi spot! The quality was amazing. I got takeout and the sushi, sashimi, and inari were all delicious! This would be my go-to sushi spot if I lived nearby. Service was quick and staff are friendly, looking forward to coming back here whenever I’m in Ottawa :)

Have ordered sushi from here a few times now for delivery - excellent quality and a really great value. Seriously does not disappoint and is a real hidden gem for sushi in Ottawa. Can’t speak to the Korean food as I haven’t tried that (yet!), but their kimchi is also phenomenal.
